Obituary of Patricia A. Botticello

Patricia “Patti” Botticello, 76, of Manchester, passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving husband on April 17 at Masonicare in Mystic. Daughter of the late Patsy and Grace Guerino, Patti was born on October 27, 1946, in Staten Island, NY where she lived until relocating to Connecticut in 1966. 

Patti grew up in a traditional Italian family and believed in the importance of gathering together with friends and family. Cooking and baking were her passion! There was always an abundance of food when she entertained. She believed it was better to have too much than not have enough, and it was always delicious!

Over the years, she worked at Carla’s Pasta and DiRosa Cleaners before starting her own small business, Everyday Errands. She also spent many summers and winters extending a helping hand at Botticello Farm’s vegetable stand. By far Patti’s favorite job was being “Nanna” to her five grandchildren who loved her just as much as she loved them.

Besides Barry, her loving husband of 45 years, Patti is survived by her two daughters, Kristine (David) Boisoneau and Tricia (Neil) Weiss. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Julia, Jaime and Evan Boisoneau and Jessica and Hannah Weiss. Patti was a beloved aunt to Tara Guerino (Austin Buehrle) and Paul Guerino (Christopher Williford), as well as great niece Arianna Guerino and great nephews Jayden Bortz and Brandon Guerino. 

Besides her parents, Patti was predeceased by her older brother, Kenneth Guerino. 

Relatives and friends are invited to the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St. for calling hours on Saturday, April 22 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
