Obituary of Robert B. Newth
Robert Bosworth Newth, 77, of Manchester, passed away March 21, 2023, after a long illness. He was born July 29, 1945, in Putnam, CT, to Paul and Lois (Bosworth) Newth.
Robert was raised in Manchester and graduated from Manchester High School. Afterwards, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and serviced in Bangkok, Thailand during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, he attended Howell Cheney Tech. He then was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for over 25 years.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 47 years, Caroline Baker Newth, his brothers Paul E. Newth, Jr. and Richard Newth. He leaves his sister Jean Martin, Joyce Hood and her husband Kevin, and sister-in-law Diane Ledger-Newth, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Before becoming an amputee, he loved to ride his motorcycles, to drive his Indianapolis Pace Corvette, and his beloved pet turtles, parakeets, dogs and cats.
The John F. Tierney Funeral Home has care of the arrangements. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
