Obituary of David J. Lynn

David J. Lynn, 61, of Manchester, the husband of Amanda Protho, died Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Hartford Hospital. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Elmer and Jean (Callahan) Lynn. 

He was proud to be a Food Director for many years and was employed as the Regional Food Director for healthcare services group. He always loved cooking and from a young age taking care of the elderly. While he was devoted to his work, the most important moment of his life was meeting his wife, Amanda, he truly loved being her husband. 

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his siblings, Michael E. Lynn (Dona), Rosemary Pierce (Dana), Camille Perkins (Thomas), James Lynn (Kari), and Christine DeBaise (Scott); his brothers and sisters-in-law Pearline Protho, Reginald Protho, Beverly Protho-Thornton (Robert Thornton), Randy Protho (Monica), and Charles Stephens; his step-son Keon Rembert, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St. in Manchester on Thursday, March 2^nd from 9:00-11:00 am. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 am followed by burial in East Cemetery.
