Obituary of Cynthia Rolston

Cynthia Rolston, 78, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2023, at Hartford Hospital after an illness of a few months. She was born in Hartford, CT on January 6, 1945, to the late John and Esther (Lynne) Rolston and resided in East Hartford for most of her life. She was a graduate of East Hartford High School, class of 1963, and attended Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, VA, before beginning her 41-year career at the Rourke-Eno Paper Company of Hartford, where she made many friends.

Cindy enjoyed travel in her younger years, especially trips to national parks. Attending craft fairs with her cousin Avis was a favorite pastime. She looked forward to spending holidays with her aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is survived by her close cousins Avis D’Alessandro of East Hartford; Joy Longo (Bob) of Manchester; Nancy Mazzarella (Bob Bahnsen) of Waynesville, NC; and her sister-in-law Susan Brennan Rolston of Manchester. There are other cousins from the Rolston and Lynne families who each have special memories of Cindy. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved brother, Randy Rolston.

A private service will be held by the family at a later date. The John F. Tierney Funeral Home in Manchester is entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
