Obituary of Susanne B. Milhomens

Susanne B. (Atrens) Milhomens, 60, beloved wife of Joel Milhomens, of Manchester, passed away at Hartford Hospital on Sunday, February 12, 2023. She is the daughter of Vilnes and the late Hannelore (Jochim) Atrens, of Lebanon.

Susanne was an International Student Advisor at UCONN, a job she was very proud of, being able to help others. After leaving UCONN, she was employed with EDMC, training staff members at the corporations post-seconary schools on how to admit and support international students while obtaining their degrees. Susanne also worked as a leasing consultant for various rental properties, up until she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on November 4, 2021. She enjoyed traveling, as well as redoing furniture and crafting with her business “Art and Soul Creations”.

She leaves behind her husband Joel, father Vilnes, brothers Michael Atrens and Peter Atrens, stepson Gerard Milhomens, stepdaughter Miranda Milhomens, and step-grandson Justin Ridel, as well as her in-laws Manuel and Maria Milhomens.

Family and friends may call on the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St. in Manchester on Saturday, March 4^th, 2023, from 1-4 p.m. with a funeral home service immediately following.
