Obituary of Richard K. Carrier

It is with much sadness to announce the passing away of Richard K. Carrier, 78, of Manchester, CT, on January 14, 2023. Richard was the son of Harding and Felicia Carrier of Manchester, CT. 

Richard is survived by his loving family, sister Louise Carrier Panella and husband George of South Windsor, brothers Robert Carrier and wife Emily of Manchester, David Carrier and wife Leslie of Scappoose, Oregon and many special nieces and nephews. Also, his loving companion of many years, Dona Corsini of Union, CT and his best friend Jack Ansaldi from jr. high school. Richard was predeceased by his brother, Donald Carrier. 

Richard was known for his beautiful home and yard which he took much pride in.  He also enjoyed spending time in Camden,ME, Newport, RI, Florida for the winter months, and also was a member of the Essex Yacht Club. Richard was retired from the CT Dept of Transportation as an engineer in the Highway Department.  He was also a member of the CT Army National guard.  He made many donations to children and military causes.

A Celebration of Life for Richard will be held on July 11th, 2023, from 12 - 2 p.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St. in Manchester.
