Obituary of Susan H. Farr

Susan Hoyt Crossen Farr, 86, of Manchester CT, loving wife of 66 years to Richard P. Farr, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2023, at her loving daughter Felicia’s home. Susan was born in Norwalk, CT on May 26, 1936, daughter of the late Wilfred and Marion Crossen. 

Susan attended Manchester Public Schools, graduating from Manchester High school Class of 54. She met her husband Richard and they were married on December 28, 1957.

Besides her loving husband, Susan leaves behind 3 daughters Mary and her husband George Elmore, Felicia and her sons Eric Schaller and Alex Schaller, her daughter Susan and her sons Adam Hahn and Chad Hahn. She also leaves behind her brother Stewart Crossen and his wife Beth Angel and their son Michael; her nieces Patricia Farr, Debra Farr, Lisa Banning and Jamie Farr Carroll. Susan was predeceased by her grandson Timothy Paul Elmore.   

Calling hours will be held Friday, January 13, 2023, from 3-6pm at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St. Manchester CT

A small gathering will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 8-9 AM at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St., Manchester, CT followed by burial at St. James Cemetery, 368 Broad St., Manchester, CT.
