Obituary of Pauline M. Tasse
Pauline M. Tasse, 91, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully in the care of St. Mary's Hospice in Waterbury, surrounded by her loving children on Friday, November 25, 2022. Daughter of the late Edwin and Philomenia M. (Capuano) DeGon, she was born on September 9, 1931, in Worcester, MA.
Our beautiful mom left an incredible legacy. Her smile would light up any room and she truly loved everyone she met and everyone that met her. Her spirit will continue living on through her family and friends. Mom was a caring and loveable woman who throughout her lifetime devoted herself to her religion, her husband of 59 years who predeceased her, her 6 children, 15 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. Family was everything to her. She was an intelligent, motivated, creative person who conquered perfection in everything she did. As she battled through Leukemia, she still had strength and passion to crochet over 125 blankets to give to her children, grand and great, friends who touched her heart, and future babies to come.
Our matriarch has left behind to mourn her three sons, Ronald (Patricia Albers) and Patti Tasse (former daughter-in-law), Robert "Bob" Tasse, Richard P. (Kim); her three daughters, Phyllis M. Butler (Bruce), Anne-Marie Sullivan (Paul), and Jeannie M. Tasse (Alan) and adopted daughter Barbara; her two brothers Salvatore DeGon (Carol) and John DeGon (Diane); and her many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Pauline was predeceased by her brother Marvin (Ann) whom she loved dearly, and her loving grandson John Paul Sullivan. We would like to thank the nurses from Vitas, St. Mary’s Hospital Hospice for their compassion and love they showed our mom. Fly high our Angel our Beautiful Momma, till we meet again.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family for visiting hours on Friday, December 9th from 4-7pm at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St. in Manchester.
