Obituary of Mary Fudge

Mary “Sister” Fudge, of Manchester, passed away at Hartford Hospital on Saturday, October 29, 2022. She was born in Buena Vista, GA. Mary was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church of Hartford, CT. She lived in Manchester for many years and had formerly been employed at Hartford Hospital. Mary had a big heart and never turned her back on those she loved or anyone who needed help. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her benefited from her unconditional love. 

She is survived by her son Ronald Fudge, daughters Shirley and Dana Fudge, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her niece Gail Brown for all her help and nurturing during her illness. Mary was predeceased by her husband Joseph, daughter Cynthia, grandson Brandon, her parents Joe and Anna (Jackson) Alridge, sister Nora Hurst, and four brothers Michael, Joe, Robert, and James Alridge.  

Family and friends may call on the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., Manchester on Friday, November 4, 2022, from 10-11 a.m. followed by a funeral home service with burial at East Cemetery.
