Lois Brooks

Obituary of Lois K. Brooks

Lois K. Brooks was received in the Lords arms on Friday, October 28th, 2022, in her home in Manchester. She was born on February 26, 1958, to Doris Bruins of Clay County, Georgia and Johnny Knighton of Alexandria, Louisiana.

Lois met and married Douglas Brooks and remained married until her demise – she was a devoted and caring wife for forty years. She excepted Christ, she loved the Lord and had a sweet and gentle spirit! Her smile was so infectious and so beautiful! Lois enjoyed being with her family, she loved good food and music! She was a good cook and was very creative. Lois liked making her own curtains and she also enjoyed crafting of all kinds. She liked to work on cars, she was handy that way – gifted. Lois liked to share her knowledge with those she cared about – it would put a smile on her face! She was kind, gentle, loving and a soft-spoken person. She was always willing to help where she was needed. Lois was known for her artistic qualities and knew how to fix anything she put her mind to – she always had ideas of how she can make it better. She was loved dearly by her family. Her sister Rose helped in her care, during her illness.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her stepchildren and step-grandchildren, her siblings; six sisters, three brothers and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends. Lois can never be replaced and will always be tremendously missed forever. There was no one like her!

Lois was predeceased by her parents Doris Bruins and Jonny Knighton.
