Obituary of Diane L. Raponey

Diane Raponey, 76, of East Hamption, beloved wife of 39 years to Joseph Raponey, passed away on Sunday October 23rd, 2022 at Hartford Hospital.  Born in Quebec to the late Albani and Yvette (Beaudry) LeHouillier, Diane moved to Hartford at the age of 15 and attended Hartford Public High School. As a student, she volunteered in the office at Hartford High, honing her secretarial skills.  After graduating, she worked there as a secretary for over 30 years.

Diane was an avid reader and gardener, spending hours each day tending to her flower gardens.  She was a loving and generous person who adored her grandchildren and went out of her way to spend as much time with them as possible.  Diane loved her cats, Mischa and Cloe who provided her with hours of entertainment.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Christine Dionne and her husband Karl Badey of Glastonbury and three grandsons, Sawyer, Hunter, and Tanner Badey of Glastonbury. She was predeceased by her beloved younger brother Alain LeHouiller. Thank you to the staff at Glastonbury Health Care Center for their kindness and support in caring for Diane.

Funeral services and burial are private. The arrangements are under the care of John F. Tierney Funeral Home.
