Obituary of Ida McMahon
Ida M. McMahon, 87, of Manchester, the wife of the late Richard L. J. McMahon died peacefully Friday (December 16, 2011) at Woodlake of Tolland. Born in Lewiston, ME she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie-Ange (Poulin) Bussiere and had lived in Manchester since 1949. Ida was an avid golfer and had served in many capacities in the ladies division at Manchester Country Club. She also enjoyed playing bridge and volunteering at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Her faith was of great importance throughout her life and while at Woodlake she participated in the weekly rosary. She is survived by her children Elaine McMahon, Kathy Andreoli and her husband John, Michael McMahon, Pamela Maksymiuk and her husband Bohdan, and Richard McMahon; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers William Bussiere and his wife Joan, and Raymond Bussiere and his wife Jackie. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her sister Theresa Bussiere. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday (December 21st) at 9:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester, CT with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Bridget Church 80 Main St. Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery.
