Obituary of Helen J. Cheverier

Helen Cheverier, 94, of Windsor, departed this life on Saturday, October 1, 2022. Born in Windsor, CT on June 1, 1928, she was the daughter of the late William (Wladislaw) Rozman (Rozmyslowicz) and Stephania (Mielnicki) Rozman. Helen was predeceased by her husband Nelson P. Cheverier of 56 years in 2004.

Helen was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She is survived by her children Wendy Duncan and her husband Phillip of Manchester, and Nelson Cheverier and his wife Sandra of Florida; grandchildren Ryan Cheverier and his wife Sarah of Bolton, CT, Nicholas Cheverier of NY, and Marissa Boehm and her husband David of East Granby, CT; great grandchildren Kerrin, Ronin and Andrew, and her brother Walter Rozman. She was predeceased by her brothers George, Richard, Carl, Earl, Henry and Robert, and her sisters Elizabeth, Wendy, Marion, and Lucille.

Family and friends may call on the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., Manchester, on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. following by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Parish, 896 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be held at the Windsor Veterans Cemetery.
