Obituary of Lorraine Jones

Lorraine (Kaczmarczyk) Jones, 91, of Rockledge, Florida, passed away on September 27th, 2022. She was born in Hartford Connecticut, the daughter of the late Walter and Helen Kaczmarczyk. Lorraine grew up in East Hartford, and then moved to Manchester where she raised her family. She relocated to Rockledge Florida in 2014.

She retired from Travelers Insurance Company after 20 years as an Actuarial Assistant. Lorraine loved sports. She was an avid bowler and softball player. She also was a fan of the NY Giants, Nascar racing (Jeff Gordon, her favorite driver), and the UCONN Women’s basketball team, having season tickets for 10 years.

Lorraine is survived by her daughters Sharon Axelrod of Orlando, FL, Diane and Fred Mangum, of Willimantic, CT and Karen and Jeff Tunison of Chandler, AZ., her grandchildren Rebecca and Brian Quinn, Derek and Katherine Erismann, Nicole and Jason Hansraj, and Ebony Mangum; her great grandchildren Neil, Nora, Nolan and Nathaneal Erismann, and Kaylin and Liam Hansraj. She also leaves her sister Dorothy Obermeier. She leaves many special nieces and nephews, and close family friends, whom she remained in close contact with until her passing. She was predeceased by a sister Helen Milne, brothers Tom Kaczmarczyk and Walter Kaczmarczyk.

Funeral services will be held at Tierney Funeral Home in Manchester Connecticut at a later date.
