Obituary of Michael G. Banta

Michael G. Banta, 36, of Manchester, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 15, 2022. Beloved Son of Diane Banta (Lagasse), he was born in Hartford on May 19, 1986. Michael was a forklift operator and selector for 14 years at C&S Wholesale Distributors. In his free time, he enjoyed all varieties of fishing across all seasons and also loved making beef jerky. 

Michael is survived by his daughter, Alexia Banta; his mother, Diane Banta; his father, Charles Banta, Jr.; and his brother and best friend, Andrew Wilenski; several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved colleagues from C&S. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Guy and Geneva Lagasse, and his paternal grandparents, Charles and Eleanor Banta. 

John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., Manchester, has care of the arrangements. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 4-6 p.m. followed by a funeral home service. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
