Obituary of Joseph P. Stephenson

Joseph “Joey” P. Stephenson, 49, of Manchester, passed away Tuesday, September 13th, 2022, at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Manchester, CT on July 13, 1973, to the late Henry and Diane (Bellefleur) Stephenson.

After Manchester High School, Joey graduated from Keene State College with a degree in Occupational Safety. Joey was very proud of his involvement with the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.  He was most recently employed as an Assistant Store Manager at Walgreens.

Growing up, Joey was an avid soccer player and developed a passion for music, art, and nature. He was creative and loved to draw and write.  Joey was a lifelong New York Yankee and Giants fan. No one could light up a room as easily as Joey. His humor and wit put smiles on faces wherever he was. He was an amazing soul who touched countless lives.

Joey leaves behind his girlfriend Bethany Braunstein of Ellington, his brother Hank Stephenson and wife Cheryl of East Hartford, and brother David Stephenson of Manchester. Joey also leaves behind his extended Stephenson, Bellefleur, and TKE families who he loved very much.

Family and friends may call on the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center Street, Manchester CT, on Monday, September 19th, 2022, from 9 – 11 a.m. immediately followed by a funeral home service.
