Obituary of Jacqueline A. Lavender

Jacqueline Anne Hance Lavender, 89, passed away on September 5, 2022, in Vernon, CT after a long and happy life. She passed in comfort with her daughter Susan by her side.

Jacqueline is survived by her six children. Gordon Lagrow, he will forever be remembered for the wonderful gifts he gave to mom from the Vermont Country Store and the lilac bouquets that she loved so much. Carolee LaMarre, with her Santa cups that Mom loved to see when she came to her house. Susan Lagrow and her partner Dave. Susan will be blessed for her diligent daily care and concern in the last four years of Moms life. The haircuts, nail polishing, hand cream and love. Donna Lavender Robbins and her husband Bob for the humor that Mom loved to hear and made her laugh so often. Nancy Lavender Davis and her life partner Fred. Nancy cared for Mom with love and diligence for over 3 years until her own health needs made it difficult. Mom loved to sit with Nancy on the porch swing in the sun.  Francine Feld and her husband Bob. Francine lived near mom in Florida and was a huge help as she aged before she moved back to Connecticut.

 Jacqueline is predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Allen Lavender as well as her beautiful granddaughter Alicha Lavender and her loving parents Lena and Francis Hance. Jacqueline had so much love for all her grandchildren Jennifer, Edward, Lori, Steven, Joshua, Gabrielle, Alicha, Kathleen (Kat), Krystal, Jesse, Lacy and many, many great grandchildren.

A special mention to her great grandson Marcus Lavender, Alicha’s son whom Mom raised after Alicha’s passing. Marcus brought Mom so much happiness.

A simple service will be held at the Pine Crest Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida. Jacqueline will be laid to rest with her husband, her mother and father and her granddaughter Alicha.
