Bruce Nugent

Obituary of Bruce S. Nugent

Bruce Sebastiano Nugent, 38, Daddy to Kinsley Rose, departed this world way too soon on Friday, September 2nd, 2022. To say his absence has left a void in our lives is not only an understatement but also a lie. The truth is he left us breathless and broken hearted and left us the most precious of gifts. He left us his daughter Kinsley Rose, who just turned 7.

“Kin” or "Miss Rose" as he called her was his EVERYTHING. She is her father’s twin, also possessing the most beautiful blue eyes. Kinsley was Bruce’s world. Despite Bruce’s debilitating illness, he was hands on with his Kin. Crafting, panning for gold, hiking and stargazing are just a few examples of their pastimes. Movie and Cuddle Night was their favorite night of the week.

He loved, educated, and saw to her every need. He earned the title "Best Daddy in the World" from her early on. The world’s a better place because of Bruce Nugent and he made sure to leave a legacy in Kinsley Rose to take over where he left off.

Among the many broken hearts grieving for Bruce, he leaves behind his heart, Kinsley Rose "Miss Rose" Nugent age 7, his mother Brigid Guinan and his loving grandmother Brigid Di Pace, who loved and helped Bruce throughout his life. He was predeceased by his grandfather Sebastiano A. Di Pace, from whom he proudly got his middle name. He always said his grandfather raised him to be a good son, Father, and friend. Bruce was also predeceased by his father Bruce J. Nugent, with whom he became inseparable at age 20. "Big" Bruce taught "Little" Bruce the trade. He also leaves behind his stepmother Diane Nugent, who he cared for deeply. He lost his grandfather and father less than a month apart in 2020 and deeply grieved for them both.

Lastly, he was predeceased by his stepfather, Bruce D. Guinan. “Little” Bruce helped watch over Bruce prior to his death, taking on a protector roll for him became second nature.

He also leaves behind his aunts and uncles, Christine Wagner and her husband Bill, Andrea Velez and her husband Edgardo, Joe Di Pace and his wife Shelley and Kathy Di Pace Gray. He leaves cousins Dr. Brian Di Pace, Kevin Wagner, his wife Shannon and precious Baby Adeline, Jeremy Di Pace and his fiancé Katie Onofrio, Ethan Monteiro, Alyssa Monteiro, Nicholas Sickman, the entire Di Pace & Levins family along with the entire Guinan family.

A special thank you to his friends that were always there for him. Zena Wade, who was his fierce protector, Dyllan Blodgett, Jake LeBrun and more recently Correy Harris. He deeply loved each of you and we will be eternally grateful that you were always there for him.

Kinsley has a special message for her Daddy: I love you Daddy, now you won't have pain in your legs anymore and you get to see Papa. You are my new angel. Please come see me in my dreams. I love you and miss you, Daddy. XOXO
