Obituary of Virginia L. Charette

Virginia (Lee) “Grannie” Charette, 94, of Manchester, the daughter of the late Jesse R. and Lillian (Hall) Lee passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.  Born in Manchester on December 29, 1927, she was predeceased by her husband Gerard and son John D. Charrette, MD and daughter-in-law Rebecca Lynn.  She is also predeceased by three brothers Gordon, Robert, and Frederic Lee, and four sisters Doris Lee, Fern Lee Newmann, Faith Janice Withey and Mary Lee Davis.

She is survived by two sons Thomas G. Charette of Johnstown, PA, and Michael J. Charette and his wife Carla of Woodstock Valley, CT; two grandchildren – the loves of her life – Joshua Lee Charette and his wife Samantha, and Amanda Claire Charette; and two brothers Jesse R. and William James Lee. 

Virginia “Grannie” was retired from Pratt & Whitney in 1993.  After her retirement she worked as a sub at the Manchester School Cafeterias.  She also volunteered at Assumption School, where she received the Golden Hand Award from the children of the 8^th grade class of 2001.  She wishes to thank her extended family for all their kindness they showed her; Nancy and Don Coulombe; Susan and her children Bryan and Lauren; Barbara and Mitchell and their children Aaron and Rachel; Leslie and John their children Dannielle and Rebecca; Ruth and her son Michael; her special friend and neighbors Paul and Maria Rosa.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 2^nd at 11:00 am at the John F.
