Obituary of Robert P. Rawlinitis, Jr.

Robert P. Rawlinitis, Jr., 67, of Manchester, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family and loved ones, on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Born in Middletown on June 8, 1954, he was the son of Robert Rawlinitis, Sr. and his wife Mary Ellen (Sereno) Rawlinitis, and Patricia (Hemsley) McVey.

Robert was a delivery driver with Allan S. Goodman for over 30 years, he loved working with his hands and enjoyed renovating homes. He was a very talented mechanic who could fix anything, loved watching football, and was also a very helpful and friendly neighbor. A proud Grandpa, he adored his grandsons and loved his family.

Robert is survived by his children Jason Rawlinitis, Ryan Rawlinitis and Amy Shaw; grandchildren Zachary Rawlinitis, Nicholas Rawlinitis, Nathan Rawlinitis, Lincoln Shaw and Everett Shaw; his siblings Mari-Jo Stevens, Michael (Susan) Rawlinitis, Kathy (Peter) Palmer, Lynn (Tim) Wolfkill, Jeffrey (Julie) Rawlinitis, Susan (Blaise) Thomas, Paula (Donald) Bramer, Mary Lisa (Bil) McGahan, and Lori Yocco; several nieces and nephews; his significant other Cindy Cote; and best friend and companion, his dog Wilson. He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Patricia, and brother Robert Todd Coberly.
