Obituary of Theresa A. Wisienski

Theresa Wisienski, 87, entered eternal rest and peace on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Crestfield. She was born in Hartford, CT on July 22, 1934, a daughter of the late Leonard and Josephine (Pandiscia) Deturi. She was educated in East Hartford and later married “Luis” Andrew Wisienski and began raising their four children.

Theresa worked for many years in the insurance industry, primarily as a customer service representative. She retired from Travelers in 1993, after dedicating over 20 years with the company. Theresa enjoyed traveling to the casino’s and loved spending time at the slots at Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods.

She was predeceased by her husband “Luis” in 1993 and is survived by her adored family members including: her two sons, Andrew and William Wisienski both of East Hartford; her two daughters, Denise McKeown and her husband Brian of East Hartford; Carolyn Brennan and her husband Joe of South Windsor; three granddaughters, Jessica Matos and her husband Peter of East Hartford; Jennifer Martino of East Haven; Ashley Lenthe of Glastonbury; seven adored great grandchildren, Alicia of East Hartford, Quran, Jaylani, Malia, Joshua and Jeremiah all of Glastonbury, as well as Tianna of South Carolina. She also leaves many, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Theresa was also predeceased by her brother Leonard Deturi and two sisters, Frances Whalen and Celeste Arcell.

Funeral services will be private at the family’s request and if friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in Theresa’s name a charity of one’s choice.
