Michelina Woykovsky

Obituary of Michelina Woykovsky

With love and admiration, we honor the beautiful life of Michelina Woykovsky, who passed away on May 12, 2022.  The sun shined brighter, for just a moment, that morning. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother during her incredible 93 years on earth.

Margaret was born on February 21, 1929, in the Bronx, New York to Nicola and Mary Rucci. At the age of thirteen, she moved to Hartford where she later met her late husband, Walter Woykovsky, and lived a full and wonderful life with their three children in Manchester. Margaret had a love for fashion and travel. Among many places, she reminisced about her time in Monte Carlo, Madrid, Aruba with her dear friend, Benito, Palm Springs, and New York at Christmas time. Margaret, better known to us all as Noni, left a lasting impression on each and every one of us, even her orange tabby cat named Tiger. She dedicated her later years to her grandchildren who meant the world to her.

She will be missed dearly by her children, Lorraine and husband Theodore Amenta, Larry Woykovsky, and Craig Woykovsky. Even more so by her grandchildren, Dante and wife Sandy Amenta, Antony Woykovsky, Britney and husband Brandan Fox, Devon and wife Rachele Woykovsky, Derek and wife Rachael Knapp, Kyle Woykovsky, and Larisa and husband Jordan Bar, and perhaps the most by her great grandchildren, Hailey Woykovsky Soto, Iris Amenta, Hudson and Henry Fox, and Britton Bar.

“Another year has gone by, but memories last,” she wrote many years ago in a note to her granddaughter. Fitting for someone who is, and will forever be, as memorable as her. We love you always, Noni.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 19th at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Church, 896 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be held in St. James Cemetery.
