Obituary of Helen Mikulski
Helen (Zapasnik) Mikulski, 88, of Manchester, wife of the late Frank Mikulski, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022. Born in Attleboro, MA to the late Ludwik and Mary Zapasnik. She was employed by Pioneer Parachute and Shoprite and was a communicant of St. James Church in Manchester.
Helen is survived by her children Joanne Mikulski and Laurie Fay, son-in-law Walter Zingler, grandchildren Jennifer Fay, Kevin Zingler and his wife Cynthia, Keith Zingler and his wife Susan, Timothy Fay, and Katie Fay Ritchie and her husband Brian; great grandchildren Kyle Zingler, Julia Zingler, Jason Zingler, Meghan Zingler and Tara Ritchie. She was predeceased by her husband Frank, daughter Mary Lou Zingler, and siblings Jennie Klimaszewski, Stella Jasionowski, Valerian Zapasnik, William Zapasnik, Henry Zapasnik and Chester Zapasnik.
Helen’s family would like to express its most sincere gratitude and deep appreciation to Darcie Winebarger, Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse, of ECHN Visiting Nurse and Health Services of CT for her compassion, support, patience, and devotion. Darcie was held in the highest regard because of her knowledge as a nurse coupled with her care and compassion as a human being.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 25th, at 10:00 am at St. James Church, 896 Main St. Manchester followed by burial in East Cemetery, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. James Parish, 896 Main Street, Manchester, CT 06040.
