Obituary of Sharon Lorraine

Sharon L. Lorraine, long time resident of Tolland, CT passed away peacefully in her home on March 17, 2022.  Sharon was born on July 5, 1943, in Bristol, CT. She is predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Lydia Lorraine, and siblings William Lorraine and Dorothy Charest. 

Sharon is survived by her brother Richard Lorraine (wife Joyce), niece Gretchen Guevara (husband Ray and children) and nephew Jeffery Lorraine; by her longtime friend Betty Lantieri and many other relatives and dear friends. 

Sharon’s extensive career history began at Royal Typewriter from 1962-1972, continued as owner-operator of a self-service gas station/ market from1972-1978, evolved to inspector at Pratt and Whitney from 1978-2000, and concluded as an inspector at Scott Electrograph in Bolton. After her dedicated work life, Sharon dove into retirement with golfing, wood working, skiing, and other extensive hobbies and activities, including finally relaxing and taking on fun and festivities at Seymour Lake, VT. 
 

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 5:00PM- 7:00PM at the John Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center Street, Manchester.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 23, at the Church of the Assumption, 27 Adams Street S., Manchester beginning at 11:00 AM followed by burial in St. James Cemetery, Broad Street, Manchester.
