Obituary of Barbara A. Morrissey

Barbara A. “Annie” Morrissey, 59, of Vernon, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Born in Quincy, MA, she is the daughter of Barbara A. (Lemon) Morrissey and the late Joseph V. Morrissey. Annie was formerly employed by Compaq Computer of Maynard, MA, and was currently doing what she loved to do, volunteering her time to animals in need with Sadie Mae in Bolton. She was very involved in animal activism throughout her life both in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Annie is survived by her mother Barbara, brothers Joseph Morrissey of New Hampshire, Mike Morrissey and his wife Lisa of Manchester, and John “Jack” Morrissey and his wife Karen Hoxie of Maine, her sister Theresa Spierto and her husband Charles of Virginia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and very close family members Cynthia Morrissey and Paula Talty and numerous cousins.

Family and friends may call on the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., Manchester, on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 4-6 pm.
