Obituary of Damien C. Robinson
Damien C. Robinson of Manchester, CT, Trudy Condio Robinson’s beloved husband of 17 years, slipped peacefully away with his wife sleeping by his side on January 25, 2022.
Damien, or as his sisters like to call him, “Dana”, was born in Boston, MA on April 8, 1951, to the late Herbert P. Robinson and Bernice M. (Dupree) Robinson.
Damien drove tractor-trailers for over 20 years for SYSCO Foods. He loved his job and the people he served. When retirement became boring, he worked for R & G Services, shuttling airport employees to and from the parking lot to the terminal while smooth jazz played in the background. He loved people and people loved him.
Above all, Damien loved his family. He loved entertaining outside in his backyard with family and friends. He loved to kayak and watching football, but most of all Damien loved being home with his wife, whom he constantly reminded that the happiest day of his life was the day he married his best friend.
Besides his wife Trudy, he leaves his sisters Harriet Robinson and Deborah Robinson Farnum both of Boston, MA; his children Kendra Condio Waites and her husband Luke Waites, Heather Robinson and Senchona Loving; his grandchildren Riley Thomas, Ava Waites, La’Chynai, Essence and Patience Loving, Breanna and Jayden Melendez, Silas Dobson III, Bryttani Cole; and his great-grandson Daltyn Loving. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his twin sister Charlotte P. Robinson and his sister Diana A. Robinson Davis. He leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 30th at 1pm at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester, CT. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 12-1 pm at the funeral home. Please wear a mask.
