Obituary of Bette Jeanne Slivinsky

Bette Jeanne Slivinsky, 84, of Southington, formerly of Glastonbury and Manchester, the wife of the late Carol Walter Slivinsky, died Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Bradley Memorial Hospital in Southington (LiveWell).  Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Thelma (Jewell) Burnett and had lived in Glastonbury for many years.  She was the former owner and operator of Hebron Travel Agency. Bette enjoyed traveling with her husband to many places in the U.S. and abroad. She had many friends at LiveWell and was the leader in any activities about trivia and word knowledge. She was rarely without the Hartford Courant crossword puzzle, which she worked on every day.

She is survived by her children Daniel Slivinsky and his wife Michelle of Plainville, Stephen Slivinsky and his wife Jerene of Vermont, Lauren Person and her husband Scott of Andover, and David Slivinsky of Willimantic; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and her son-in-law, Mark Hall of Andover.  She is also survived by her brothers, James “Jim” Burnett and his wife Peg, David Burnett, Pete Burnett and his wife Joan, Russell Burnett, and Richard Burnett; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daugther Lisa Hall.
