Obituary of Emily G. Johnson

Emily G. (Wood) Johnson, 70, of Ellington, beloved wife of the late George A. Johnson, passed away on Wednesday, January 5^th, 2022, at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She is the daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen Wood. Emily was an active member of Trinity Covenant Church in Manchester. She was employed as a Reservation Specialist for American Airlines.

Emily leaves behind her sons Michael Johnson and his fiancé Rachael, George Johnson, and Christopher Johnson; her grandchildren Sophia, Juleon, Tristan, Anthony, Helena, Gabrielle, Ashley, Camay, and Kaylie; as well as 3 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her dearest best friend and “sister”, Linda Hanson.

Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., Manchester, on Thursday, January 13^th, 2022, from 4 – 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 14^th, at East Cemetery at 10 a.m.
