Eleanor (Patten) Coleman, 91, of Manchester the widow of Maurice J. "Ike" Coleman died Monday (May 28, 2007) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Manchester the daughter of the late George and Gertrude Patten, she was a life long resident. Eleanor formerly worked at Pioneer Parachute, had a twenty year career at the Aetna Insurance Company and was a longtime volunteer with the Manchester Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by her children and their spouses George P. and Kathleen Coleman of Bolton, Kathleen E. and Mike Mills of Spring Hill, FL and James B. and Julie Coleman of Vernon; her grandchildren and their spouses Jodie and Marc Marzialo of Tolland, Darra and Dr. Jon Stephens of Columbia, Lauren and Hal Hodges of Temple Terrace, FL, Michael Melody and his fiancé Liz of Manchester, Marissa and Eddie Gallagher of Long Beach, NY, Meggan Melody of Long Beach, NY, Christian and Nicole Coleman of Tolland, Carrie and Sean Carlson of Newton, MA, Katherine and Todd Lawrence of Waltham, MA; nine great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law John Aceto and many nieces and nephews. The Coleman family would like to offer a special note of appreciation to Yaa Kesewah and Angelic Home Care for the devotion and friendship given their mother. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 9:15 am from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Bridget Church, Main St. Manchester followed by burial in St. Bridget Cemetery.
