Phyllis S. Cannistraro, 68, of Manchester, CT died peacefully Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Milton, VT to Aurther and Bessie Sweeney, she was a long time resident of Manchester and was employed by Connecticut National/Fleet Bank until her retirement and a former member of The Emblem Club Rockville, CT chapter. A generous and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend she enjoyed country music and the nuances of politics. Predeceased by Emanuel M. Cannistraro, she leaves behind her legacy in her children, her son Mark Cannistraro and his partner Ron Peaslee of NYC, her daughter Felicia Scranton of CT and her grandson, Dakota Storm Scranton of CT, a brother Arthur Sweeney of VT, and four sisters Janice Free of CT, Alice Millet of TN, Beverly Boucher of VT, and Joyce Sweeney of CT and many nieces and nephews. A graveside ceremony to celebrate Phyllis' life will be held June, 1st 2007 at East Cemetery in Manchester at 11:00 am. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
