Obituary of Mary E. Hickey

Mary E. Hickey, 97, of Manchester, died Monday, October 4^th, 2021, at Salmon Brook Center in Glastonbury. Born in New Milford, October 28^th, 1923, she was the daughter of William and Inez Pickett of Washington Depot, Connecticut. Mary was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II as a Pharmacist Mate 3^rd Class.  

Mary was predeceased by her husband Raymond F. Hickey, in 2010, and by her daughter Jean in 1970. She is survived by her sons, Tim Hickey and his wife Patricia Lindsay Hickey of Florida, Daniel Hickey of Manchester, William Hickey and his wife Sherry DiBella of East Hampton and Chris Hickey and his wife Georgia of East Hartford.

Mary led a long and fruitful life, serving her country and caring for her family for many years. Mary was kind to everyone she met, and she will be missed by all who knew her throughout her many years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 12^th, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Assumption, 27 Adams Street South, Manchester, followed by burial at St. James Cemetery.
