Obituary of Claire L. Sullivan
Claire Leben Sullivan, age 77, of Vernon, CT, passed away September 25, 2021. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, teacher, and friend.
Claire was born in Quincy, MA on November 13, 1943. She married Thomas Sullivan in 1969 and spent most of her life living in Manchester, CT. She enjoyed a long career as an English Teacher at Manchester High School, where she made a lasting impression on her students.
She is survived by her husband Thomas, her daughter Heather Sullivan-Flynn (Jason), son Adam Sullivan, and grandchildren Declan and Malcolm Sullivan-Flynn and Jack Sullivan. She is also survived by sisters Diane Williams, Evelyn Murphy (John), Maureen Kelliher (James), and brother George Leben. She will be dearly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, September 29th, at St. Bartholomew's Church in Manchester at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill. Family and friends may call on the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., Manchester on Tuesday, September 28th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
