Obituary of Audrey St. Pierre

J. Audrey (Sandberg) St. Pierre, 91, of Sanford, Florida, formerly of Manchester, passed away September 5, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Eugene T. St. Pierre. She leaves three children: daughter Nancy Crommett and husband Ted of Debary Florida; daughter Elaine Dorsett and husband Michael of Debary Florida; and son Edward St. Pierre and wife Joanne of Andover Connecticut. Audrey was the proud grandmother of six; Daniel Rossano, Lindsay Rossano, Austin St. Pierre, Shelby Wagner, Alisha Albinson, and Jeremy St. Pierre. She was great-grandmother to Reagan Wagner and Luke and Caroline Albinson. These children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the true joy of her life. Audrey also leaves behind two sisters, Phyllis Gordon and Lois Ferrin. She was preceded in death by her brother Bill Sandberg. 

Audrey’s early childhood was in East Glastonbury, and she graduated Manchester High School in 1949. She and Eugene met at the Crystal Ball Room in Ellington and enjoyed many years of ballroom dancing. A member of South United Methodist Church for more than 60 years, she was employed at Pratt and Whitney until she became a homemaker. Audrey loved countless Sunday afternoon drives with her family, and especially her annual birthday picnics. She enjoyed hosting the Sandberg and St. Pierre family gatherings. Her special memories included trips to Hawaii, the Canadian Rockies, and Ogunquit, Maine.

South United Methodist Church, 1226 Main Street, Manchester Connecticut will host calling hours for friends and family October 9, 2021, 9-10 AM, followed by memorial services at the church from 10-10:45 AM. Burial services will follow at East Cemetery in Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Halifax Health Hospice Care Center, 1625 Veterans Memorial Highway, Orange City FL 32763, or South United Methodist Church, 1226 Main Street, Manchester CT 06040 earmarked for the Congregational Care Fund.
