Obituary of Rosemarie C. Dubiel
Rosemarie Dubiel (Coriaty), 84, peacefully entered the arms of her beloved Sacred Heart of Jesus on August 19, 2021, after a prolonged illness. She was born September 8, 1936, to the late Alexander and Jeanne Coriaty of Willimantic, CT. She married her husband, Joseph Dubiel, May 6, 1961, and began life as a USAF military wife, residing in numerous locations throughout the country while raising her family. Rosemarie often said that nothing was better than being a military wife. Upon her husband’s military retirement, her family settled in Manchester, CT, where she continued her most important job of raising her three children.
During her working years, Rosemarie was employed as a medical transcriptionist.
Rosemarie felt very blessed throughout her life. She easily made long lasting friendships during her family’s frequent moves. She had a life-long passion rooting for the Boston Red Sox and the UConn basketball teams. She also enjoyed visiting the Mohegan Sun casino. Her greatest joys, however, were her family, family gatherings, and especially, her three grandsons.
In addition to her parents, Rosemarie was predeceased by her brother, Charles Coriaty; sisters-in law, Diane Coriaty, Estelle Giglio, and Bertha Chester; and brothers-in-law, Louis Giglio and Henry Chester.
Besides her husband of 60 years, Rosemarie leaves daughter, Jeanne, and son-in-law, Christopher Gearhart; son, John; daughter, Catherine, and son-in-law, Paul Silas, Jr.; and grandchildren, Michael Gearhart, Matthew Silas, and David Silas. Rosemarie cherished her grandsons, to whom she provided love, nurturance, guidance, and care during their growing years. She was so proud of the fine young men they are today.
Rosemarie also leaves behind her sister and brother-in-law, Sally (Coriaty) and Michael Cianciolo; life-long friend, Mary Russo; and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. Rosemarie treasured very special relationships with her sister, Sally, and friend, Mary.
Rosemarie was thankful for all of the cards, flowers, and telephone calls she received during her illness, as well as the compassionate care rendered by many skilled professionals.
