I am in shock and sorry to hear of Becky’s passing. She was a good friend with a heart of gold—a diamond in the rough. I enjoyed the many years we skied together at Blandford and will miss her. She loved her animals and was alway willing to give training pointers. Rest In Peace my friend.

Becky and her canines served for many years as faithful volunteers at Hartford Hospital. They brought joy and sometimes awe, to our patients, staff and visitors. Becky and her brood were a familiar sight walking through our hallways; one small but mighty dog Mom, often with two majestic Borzoi's, and two tiny Teacup Poodles in perfect step.
Through the years, Becky cheered our hospital community with her canine family of Annie, Daisy, Jennifer, Jessie, Jolene, Julie, Nellie, Rozana, Ruby and Sophie. We will never forget Becky or her commitment to sharing the joy of animals with those in need of comfort and connection.
Becky and her loving animals will be greatly missed by the Hartford Hospital community.
Rest in Paradise and Peace Becky.

Becky and her beautiful dogs brought joy to patients at Hartford Hospital for many years. We were the grateful recipient of her generosity of time and understanding of the power of pet therapy. She will be missed.

The members of CSEA Chapter 410 send condolences to the family of Rebecca Smith. Becky has faithfully served as Treasurer for our chapter for ten years.. This is a great loss to us and she will be greatly missed. One of her dogs usually accompanied her to meetings as she reminded us, if the meeting got to long, she would have to leave; her animals were waiting for her.

I first met Becky in 1972 when I was a new cop in town and she was on the ambulance.Years later we worked at the DOC together. When I retired Becky urged me to join the ski patrol, so I did so with my son. We skied with her and her son, Scott at Bland ford. I have always considered her to be a gem in the rough - hard exterior with a heart of gold. Heidi and I hope that Scott and his family can take comfort in the way Becky (as the song goes) "did it my way". Ed and Heidi Fedorowich

My condolences to the family of Becky. I knew her years ago and she was very nice person. I saw her a few years ago at a dog show at the eastern states exposition and she was wheelchair bound which surprised me. I hadn't seen her in years prior to that. She had a lot of friends in the Simmers area and I expect in many other places also. I remember she especially like the horse by the name of gee Spike

the loss of my special friend has left me almost wordless. . . I can not imagine my world without her. Becky was tough and opinionated and did things her way. And loved her friends and made them family. I am lost. . . and I will forever miss this kind and special lady.
