Obituary of Ann B. Werkhoven

Ann B. Werkhoven, 92, of Manchester, died peacefully on Thursday, July 8th, 2021, with her loving family by her side. She is survived by her sons, Carl Werkhoven and his wife Donna of South Windsor and Stephen Werkhoven and his wife Sandra of Manchester. Ann also leaves her grandchildren Scott and Kari Werkhoven, Lindsay Patrick, Sean and Rebecca Werkhoven, Jessica Werkhoven, and Hunter Werkhoven; along with all her great-grandchildren, Kadyn Werkhoven, August Patrick, Eli Werkhoven, Theunis Patrick, and Chloe Jalbert as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband Theunis “Terry” Werkhoven, her sister Mary Jane Buckland, brother-in-law Everette Buckland, and sister-in-law Wilhelmina Werkhoven.

Ann was an avid fan of UConn Women’s Basketball and always enjoyed watching golf. She found great joy in bringing her grandchildren along to sporting events and teaching them the games. Family vacations to the beach, time entertaining friends and family, and sharing holidays with all her family made her the happiest. Ann adored her husband Terry and loved her life of 60+ years with him. From square dancing in younger years to going to shows or listening to music at the Band Shell they filled their life with memories.

A Mass of Christian burial at St James Church, 896 Main Street, Manchester will be on Thursday, July 15th, at 10:00 with a burial to follow at Holy Cross. Family and friends may call at the John F.
