Obituary of Ella R. Nimirowski
Ella R. (Brophy) Nimirowski, 100, of Rocky Hill, passed away on July 8. She is survived by her loving children, Peter Nimirowski and his wife Sharon Donofrio of North Stonington, Chris DellaFera and her husband Lou of Rocky Hill. She also leaves her grandchildren Todd Nimirowski and his wife Robin, Tess Nimirowski and her partner Justin Wollenhaupt, Lauren DellaFera and Matt DellaFera as well as her great grandchildren Cooper and Jacob and several nieces and nephews. Ella was preceded in death by her husband John, siblings John, George, Albert, Joseph, Amelia and Ann.
Ella was first employed as a Hairdresser and maintained her license for most of her life. Ella then worked for Traveler’s Insurance in Hartford for over 30 years. While working at Traveler’s, she obtained her GED and AS in Library Science from Manchester Community College. She then continued her career at Traveler’s as a Legal Librarian.
After retiring from Traveler’s, Ella was employed for 30 more years at McAughtry & Amp Associates as a Legal Librarian. After a career spanning over 60 years, Ella retired at 92.
Ella lost her mother at an early age and faced many challenges. Throughout her life, her faith and strong self confident spirit sustained her. She was a loving and nurturing mother, devoted wife and was always there for all of her family. Ella was loved and cherished by all who knew her and were touched by her. We would like to thank all of her caregivers at Residence at Ferry Park for their kind and loving care of their “Ella Bella”, and to the caregivers at AmberWoods of Farmington in the final months of her life.
