Thomas Culler

Obituary of Thomas A. Culler

Thomas A. Culler, 69, of Manchester, passed away on Wednesday June 9th, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Frederick, MD, the son of the late Harold and Katherine (Wright) Culler. He is survived by his loving wife Ellen (Wann) Culler as well as his sons, Justin Culler and his fiancé Laura DaSilva of New Milford, CT and Matthew Culler of Baltimore, MD along with his grandchildren Savannah and Jaxson.

Thomas leaves his siblings Terry (Joan) Culler, Frank Culler, Sharon (Hank) Cunningham and Mary (Rob) Morton, as well as several nieces and nephews, and his step-son Joshua Bechard of Bennington, VT. He also leaves his former wife, Robin Culler.

Tommy and Ellen only had a few years together, but for them it was a love that was magical, and forever. Sharing their love of life with music, sports, travel and family made it all that much more special. Be it virtual dates or enjoying a hike, theirs was a special bond, a complete and forever love.

The bond of a father and child is beyond measure. This bond was so very strong between Tom, Justin, and Matt. He was so proud of his sons, sharing his love of music and sports with them from a very young age, coaching their sports teams, buying that special drum set. He will be forever with you at every concert and sporting event you attend.

Granddaddy was his most favorite title. Jaxson and Savannah’s arrival made his world complete. His love for them was unending and he cherished all his time with them. The glow in his eyes when talking about his grandchildren was a pleasure for all to see. We will keep his memory alive for these little ones as they grow up and they will always know how very much he loved them.

Family was so important and special to Tom. He was the fun uncle, the brother always reaching out with his love, the son who called his

mother every day. His cousins and other family members were never far from his thoughts.

Tom lead a life to be admired and loved. He had so many medical issues, but battled through them all with grit, determination, and love. Tom was able to travel the world and enjoy so many wonderful vacations. He was a sports fanatic following the Baltimore Orioles, New England Patriots, Nascar, and UConn Huskies with much enthusiasm.

But his greatest love was Rock n’ Roll. To say Bruce Springsteen was his rock idol would not do him justice. He traveled the world following Bruce and at last count had attended 353 of his shows. But it wasn’t just Bruce, he loved them all; The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Three Doors Down, Rod Stewart, Southside Johnny, Darlene Love; the list is endless. And let us not forget his love of Broadway.

Tom Culler loved with his whole heart and touched so many lives. We are all honored to have been a part of this.
