Obituary of Mark Bakanas
Mark E. Bakanas, 52, of Bolton, passed away on December 10, 2011, after a brief illness. Born in Dallas, TX, he was a graduate of Bolton High School, Class of 1977. He was a clerk at Bolton Notch Wine & Spirits for many years. He enjoyed fishing, reading, and driving. He was a great friend to, and adored by, Peanut Butter, K.C., and Garbo. He is survived by his loving mother, Jeanette P. (McCooe) Bakanas of Bolton; his sisters, Dr. Erin L. Bakanas of St. Louis, MO and Lisa G. Bakanas, Esq., of Middletown; his uncle John McCooe of South Windsor; his uncle and aunt Charles and Alice McCooe of Manchester; and many, many cousins and friends.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 9 am to 10:30 am at Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street in Manchester, followed by an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church 896 Main St. in Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery.
