When her children were in elementary school, she served as room mother as well as assisting in the library. She was scout leader at Buckley School for Brownie Troop and continued through Girl Scout program to 8th grade.

Mary and Norman enjoyed travel in the United States, especially Maine and Vermont. But when they once visited Italy that was their destination for 12 more visits other than one trip to Costa Rica. Mary enjoyed traveling with MCC-OAA on their day trips as well as their multiple long trips to Canada and United States. She was a fan of the Patriots and UConn Women’s basketball. Happiness was sitting on her patio and doing light flower gardening and vegetable gardening in pots while bird watching.

Also, her late brother Jerry’s children and their families; her sister in-law, Diane Comollo, her children and their families and special great-nephew Anthony Palombizio (Sarah) and their children as well as special and dear friends.
