Obituary of Barbara Galvin

Barbara C. Galvin, 89, of Manchester, CT, passed away on May 16, 2021. She was born in Woburn, MA, on October 14, 1931, to the late Frank Jelley and Catherine Jelly and graduated from Everett High School in Everett, MA, class of 1950.

Barbara was predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years, Robert S. Galvin. They made their home in Manchester in 1970, where they raised their two girls and made many good friends. She worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Volunteers at Hartford Hospital for many years, retiring in 1994 to travel with Bob and her twin sister, Bernice and her husband, Rick.

She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Galvin Domingos and her husband John, and Laurie Galvin Kincman; granddaughter Bailey Domingos, grandson Corey Domingos and her twin sister and best friend, Bernice Donnelly.  Barbara also leaves behind a wonderful family of nieces, nephews and close friends. She is recently preceded in death by her sister Catherine Risteen, son-in-law Francis Kincman and godson Robert Donnelly.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Bartholomew Church, 45 Ludlow Rd., Manchester, CT. Burial will follow the celebration at East Cemetery.
