Obituary of James M. Mitchell

James “Jake” M. Mitchell, 75, of Manchester died Friday, May 14, 2021 at Fox Hill Center, Vernon. He was born in Hartford, the son of the late Peter and Helen Michell. He was a US Navy veteran. Jake enjoyed painting, fishing and loved a good firework display. He is survived by a devoted sister Lorraine Lagassie and her husband Tom of Beverly Hills, FL, a brother Peter Mitchell of VT, and a sister Sandra Sokolowski and her husband John of Rocky Hill; and nieces and nephews, Missy, Tom, Jodi, Julie, Rick, Robin and Jackie; and several great-nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at The Veterans Cemetery on Hillstown Road, Manchester, CT, at the convenience of the family. John F.
