Obituary of Nelson J. Chiasson
Nelson J. Chiasson 67 of Vernon and beloved husband of Theresa (Lavertue) Chiasson passed away peacefully on April 23, 2021 at Manchester Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. Nelson was born September 20, 1953 in Manchester son of the late Nelson L. & Angela (Roberts) Chiasson. Nelson owned and operated with his mom Angela Chiasson and his sister in law Joanne Loura, Angie’s Printing & Mailing Services. Nelson loved getting his morning coffee, going to the movies with his wife, sports, spending time with his family and dogs. His Grandchildren (aka: Baby Monsters) were his pride and joy. Nelson loved a clean waxed car and a well kept yard. He was a gadget guy. The FedEx guy was his best friend, he loved receiving his packages he ordered. A gentle giant, calm and patient. He was full of advice, his girls never did anything without asking his opinion first. He will be missed always and forever. "Don't Worry Be Happy", is what he would say.
Along with his wife Theresa he leaves his three daughters Kimberly Chiasson (Rich Delavergne), Allison Chiasson (Mike Wisnieski) and Samantha Chiasson: three grandchildren Greyson Michael, Gavin Michael and Camden Nelson Wisnieski: two step grandchildren Isabella & Landon Wisnieski: two sisters Joanne (Bruce) Catania and Rosanne (David) Arvin: a brother Steven (Sue) Chiasson: dog’s Bailey, Blade, Molly & Skye: and a cat Thirteen: along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday April 29th at 11 am in St. Bernard Church (Blessed Sacrament Catholic Parish) 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Rockville, followed by burial in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours will Wednesday April 28th from 4-7 pm at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St. Manchester.
