Obituary of Dianne E. Eib

Dianne E. Eib, 80, of Truro, MA, formerly of Manchester, CT, the wife of the late Ernest W. Eib, died Sunday, April 18, 2021 at her daughter’s home.  Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Dorothy (Risley) Edwards and had been raised in Manchester. Dianne was a 1958 graduate of Manchester High School and it was there that she met her husband of 41 years. They made their home in Manchester before retiring to Truro. Dianne had retired from Manchester Memorial Hospital as head nurse of the critical care unit with over thirty years of service.  She remained active in retirement serving on the Truro Board of Health, volunteering for the public library and serving various roles at the First Congregational Church in Wellfleet, MA.  She enjoyed knitting and gardening as well as enjoying time at her beautiful home where she always welcomed family and friends. She is survived by her children Ernest W. “Bill” Eib II and his wife Lizalyn of Ellington and Kristen Barrett of Manchester; her grandchildren Angelo Armonio, Faithe Eib and Thomas and Lauren Barrett; her sisters, Suzanne Plagge and her husband Victor, Sharon Lewis, Dorothy Reid, and Valerie Pavano and her husband Jerry all of Manchester, and Nancy Weston and her husband Ward of Massachusetts; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Family and friends may attend calling hours on Saturday, May 1st from 10:00 a.m. -  1:00 p.m. and a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at the John F.
