Obituary of Diane M. Mynahan

Diane Mynahan “Nana”, 71, of Vernon, died Friday, March 12, 2021 at Hartford Hospital.  Born in Waterbury, she was the daughter of the late Diego and Antoinette LoGiudice and had lived in Vernon for many years.

Diane was a lover of all wildlife and animals, especially horses.  Animals could always feel her kind soul and she usually had a treat for them with her.  She also had a passion for American Indian culture and collectables.  One place you could always be sure to find Diane was watching Fran’s bands perform over the years.  Her spirit will continue to be felt.

Diane volunteered for many years in the Marlborough Fire Department, first as an EMT and then eventually as their 1st female firefighter. Her various careers over the years included driving tractor trailers for Island Transportation, and working as a proofreader at Allied Printing.  She also drove school buses in various towns including Marlborough, Vernon, & finally in Tolland at Laidlaw Transit.  She always loved being around children.

She is survived by her son, Francis Mynahan and his wife Cathy; her daughter Lori Hall; her grandchildren Taylor Mynahan, and John and Dan Hall; and her son-in-law Dan Hall Sr.  Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 19th at 12:00 pm at the John F.
