Obituary of Audrey Moran

Audrey Irene Cummings Moran, 95, of Coventry, beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Moran died Monday, March 8, 2021 at her home.  Born in Windsor Locks, she was the daughter of the late James and Ruth (Delano) Cummings and had lived in Coventry for most of her life.  She was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Coventry for over fifty years.  Audrey was also very involved with the Nathan Hale Ancient Fifes and Drums, holding numerous leadership position and playing the bass drum.  She worked at the Coventry Broadcaster before spending many years in admissions at UCONN until her retirement in 1991. 

She is survived by her children Thomas J. Moran and his wife Linda of Collinsville, and Roberta L. Banks of Manchester; her grandchildren Devin O’Brien and her husband Jason, Mike Moran and his wife Danielle, Jessica Nelson and wife Zoe, Andrew Nelson and wife Jennifer, Donna Banks, Deborah Bullock and husband Richard, Diana Wyatt, Frank Banks Jr. and wife April, Frederick Banks, Dana Finni and husband Scott, and Angela Del Negro; and 20 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son-in-law Francis Banks; her siblings, James Macquarrie and Jean Paterwic; her great-granddaughter Briana Banks; grandson-in-law Keith Wyatt; and her daughter-in-law Doreen Moran.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 13^th at 10:30 am at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St. Manchester followed by burial in East Cemetery, Manchester.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 8:30-10:30 am.  Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Coventry, Meeting House Repair Project 1171 Main Street, Coventry, CT 06238.
