Obituary of Gale W. Pratt

Gale (Wynaught) Pratt beloved wife of Robert Pratt of Manchester, CT passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021. 

Born in Boston Massachusetts on September 25, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Olive Hanson and William Wynaught.

Gale began her career in manufacturing breaking barriers as one of the first women to hold a supervisor position at Pratt and Whitney, East Hartford, CT.  She retired in 1985 to spend time with her beloved grandchildren. In addition to spending her time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandson she loved to garden, read, and take long walks hand in hand with her husband Bob.

Besides her husband of 59 years she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Doug Holman of Columbia, CT; her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Ralph Donadio of Holland, MA; Gale also leaves behind her precious grandchildren, Ryan Shepard of Willimantic, CT; Nicolle and her husband Jesse Meade of Coventry, CT; Jesse Ruiz of Burlington, VT; and Jason Donadio of Savannah, GA; and her great grandson Jacob Meade of Coventry, CT, all of whom have countless loving memories of time spent with their Gaga. Gale also leaves behind her sisters Judy Harris, Elaine Foley, Helen DeAngelis, Joan and her husband George Atchue, her brother Frank Hanson and his wife Denise, her sister in-law Virginia Meadows, and her husband Bill.

Private funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 25th. Burial will be in East Cemetery, Manchester, CT.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Dr. Chafouleas and his amazing staff at Northeastern Nephrology Association.  Their kindness and compassion are truly appreciated by her family.
