Sherri Nelson

Obituary of Sherri Nelson

Sherri Nelson, 49, of Ellington CT, passed away peacefully with her loving boyfriend Jim Gallagher by her side on Tuesday January 26th 2021. She was born on June 16th, 1971 in Boulder Colorado to Kerry and Bob Davis.

Sherri always had a smile on her face. She spent the warmer months enjoying her flowers, feeding the birds and exploring nature. She spent her down time watching her crime shows and one of her favorites was NCIS. She was always the life of the party and made sure not to miss a hug from anyone at any social gathering. Being a kid at heart, she created a special bond with any child that crossed her path. They loved her just as much as she loved them, especially her grandchildren.

Sherri and Jim recently moved into their forever home. They spent a lot of their free time camping in Maine where they loved to fish and hang out by the fire. They would take day trips on the motorcycle and she really enjoyed the ride. Sherri was such an easy going person and enjoyed the simple things in life.

Sherri leaves behind her best friend, love and soulmate, Jim Gallagher, and her four sons, Michael, Steven, Gary and Dylan. She also leaves behind her sister Michelle Hendrikson, her husband Marc and her 2 nieces and 4 nephews. She also leaves behind her stepson Cory, his wife Abby, her stepdaughter Stephanie and her boyfriend Robby. In addition to her stepchildren, she leaves behind her three lovely grandchildren, Nicholas, Logan and Norah.

Due to COVID-19, a celebration of life for Sherri will be held at a later date. An announcement will be shared with family and friends when this will occur and an update will be added to this website.
