Obituary of James Zuverink
James D. Zuverink, age 52, of Manchester, CT passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, January 17th, 2021. He was born June 22, 1968, in Louisville, Kentucky, to John and his late mother Drusilla Cox Zuverink.
Jim was an incredibly dedicated, kind, considerate, and outgoing man who would do anything for the people around him. He never failed to light up the room with his fun-loving spirit. Jim’s sense of humor was contagious. He had a special talent for connecting to those around him by sharing his love for music. He never failed to play his old school favorites at events impressing everyone around with his ability to recite every lyric.
Jim grew up in the Chicago area and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He enjoyed his days cheering on his favorite teams while wearing his infamous sports jersey.
Jim was a hard worker with a true passion for his career. He worked as a butcher and was well respected by his community. Those who had the privilege to know Jim, would all agree he had a natural gift for connecting with people and making everyone feel welcomed.
Jim leaves behind his beloved family, wife and soul mate Cassandra Cyr Zuverink, and the light of his life, daughter Paige Drudon Zuverink. He also leaves behind a loving sister Mary, her husband, Matt Rueff, and his nephews Michael and Jim and his wife Mary from Indiana. Jim was predeceased by his brother John. He has a niece Madison and her husband Dylan and son Sigge from Canada. He also leaves his mother in law Maureen Cyr from South Windsor, sister in law Carrie Kramer of South Windsor and her children Mason and his fiancè Lauren, Dane, Molli and Ross. A brother in law Donald Cyr and his wife Kim of Tolland and their children Ryan, Madelyn, and Allison. Jim also leaves behind his loving step family Helen, Tom, Linda, Tony and Eric.
Due to conditions, and to protect the safety of others, Jim’s services are going to be privately held for his close family and friends on Saturday, January, 23rd at 1 pm.
