Obituary of Lawrence Jarvis

Lawrence (Larry) Jarvis, 57, of Coventry, CT, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021. Born in Manchester, CT, on July 24, 1963, he lived in Manchester most of his life and was a graduate of Manchester High School.
Larry was an employee of the Washington Social Club in Manchester, CTHe was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge 1893 of Manchester, CT, where he volunteered at numerouevents and activities. Larry was a mainstay of Monday night Bingo for decades.
Spending time on the beach at the Elks Lodge in Westbrook, CT, was a favorite activity. He liked playing cards at the VFW, the Army/Navy clubW.S.C. and was an excellent poker player. Larry was a big fan of the Eastern States Exposition (The Big E) and air shows. He had a soft spot for cats and dogs and cared for many throughout the years. Larry enjoyed socializing with family and friends as well as making time to visit his Uncle Bill.
Larry is survived by his beloved sister Ann Aurelia Jarvis, her partner Joseph Kapouch, his loving companion Kathleen Lee and their sweet dog Maybelle, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Stanley Jarvis and his mother MarLegault Jarvis. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we need to postpone a memorial service for Larry to a later date. For online condolences, please visit www.tierneyfuneralhome.com
